CHIMCHAR Forums First Official League Tournament

I thought since we haven't really had any OFFICIAL tournament, by the meaning, that I could set up something that might work. Here are the rules and details:

Wi-Fi(obviously), Level 100(so it's fair for some), and Single battle(No hacks or ubers. That's cheating!).
All legendary pokemon are allowed and you can use as many as you want in the battle, but they may not be hacked, ubers, etc. ALL LEGIT. That means no Shaymin, Arceus or DARKRAI. Now I know that it has been released in a movie event in Japan, but not everyone was able to obtain one, let alone go to it, so because none of them have been GLOBALLY released, they are banned, for this tournament anyway.

For more description, the battles will be a max of 6 vs. 6. All attacks are allowed, meaning evasion clause(double team or sand attack) can be used. Items, they can be used, whether you want them to be held or to use from the bag. As for pokemon types, so it makes the battles more interesting, you may only use on type twice(charizard and typhlosion, but not those two AND arcanine, for example). If a pokemon happens to have two types, then this rule does not apply, meaning you can have charizard, typhlosion and blaziken if you feel like it. Again, Pokemon may NOT be hacked from an Action Replay, Gameshark or any other cheat code program. Now, as for entering the tournament, all you need to do is this and exactly this:
Type in the name you want to be called, and your friend code, so we can battle you.

The last thing I have to say is that this will a Twenty Man/Woman Tournament. I will make the brackets and post them once we have gotten the names of twenty people who want to participate. I will be in this tournament making the first slot gone, and to tell you the truth my pokemon aren't all that great. BUT, there are still nineteen openings left as of this posting.

This tournament will be taking place over the weekend of January 18, Friday to January 21, Monday. Depending on the availability of the participants will determine any changes to the schedule dates. I will explain the times of the battles later on in the week once we have enough people and all other information that you will like to know you can put in your Comments, that is as a question. I will be recording the participants and once we have twenty then it will be closed and official. Once there are twenty people I'll will post their names, not with the bracket, I will have that by either Thursday night or Friday morning. So, I hope you all will enjoy this wonderous event and...LET THE CONTESTANTS...ENTER...!

Oh. And if I or anyone else suspect a violation of these rules, then you will be TER-MI-NATED! Eliminated.

since we do hav a lot of members, i'll move the number of contestants to 20. but if we do not have 20 by thursday, then i'll just make of list of how many we have and then figure out the bracket later on.

Suggestion: No Ubers
With the small pool of Ubers, we're all going to use the same boring Pokémon. Ban Ubers and you have a much bigger OU pool of Pokémon to play around with.
Trust me, you don't want to play ubers with me anyway.

i agree you don't want ubers or everyone will use them and it'll pretty much be an uber tournament.

some people seem to hav time issues, so if you could all edit ur posts or make new ones and tell me the days you can actually use you ds. times will usually be from 10am to 6pm, but it can change.

well on week days i can normally go on between mid-day and 3-4 o'clock american time (something like 5 o'clock- 9-10 o'clock british time )

Whoever is able to succeed through their first and a second battle will face off against me in the finals, due to an odd number of people.

Here is the bracket for the CHIMCHAR Forums Official Tournament. There aren't a lot of people in the tournament so it is small. When battling your opponent, make sure to see if they are following the rules. If not, then they automatically lose, and that's not fun. Here again is the list of rules:

Rules:
-Level 100, Single Battle(more official)
-All legendary Pokemon are allowed and there is no limit to how many you use in battle
-No ubers or hacks; that includes Shaymin, Darkrai, and Arceus
-6 vs. 6, if you're compelled to use less then go ahead(but it wouldn't be wise)
-Any item may be used during the competition(otherwise they wouldn't have be put into the game)
-You may only use the same type twice, that is only two fire types as opposed to three or more
-This rule will show that you know how to control a battle in your favor with a variety of types
-If the same Pokemon has 2 types(e.g. Fire and Fighting, or Water and Steel), then the rule does not apply
-There are NO clauses, the creators of Pokemon put each move in the game for a reason(figure out how to use your opponent's move to the best of your ability to win)

It is up to you and your opponent to work out a time for when you can battle. Then once you have a winner then you can post it here. Anyone that has a problem with the rules can post a suggestion if they feel the need to. But if not, then enjoy the tournament and let the battling BEGIN!
